UK – TikTok Marketplace Launches Shop Local for SMEs

The stronghold within the ranks of social media platforms, TikTok, launched a UK-based project called Shop Local, a special scheme for domestic agricultural SMEs. Shop Local, a support scheme for UK SMEs, is introduced as a project to raise the visibility of domestic food producers and expand their offerings to consumers across the UK. 

To increase participation from local businesses, TikTok UK will invest GBP 750,000, equally distributed among five firms that won the competition designed by the platform. TikTok Shop in the UK is the fastest-growing online retailer. The goal behind this idea is to expand the number of registered UK online vendors on the platform, to attract new customers, and to promote the UK TikTok shop. 

TikTok Shop, as an online marketplace, is growing rapidly across the EU. At the moment, the Shop is registered as a domain in the UK, as well as in Ireland, Spain, Italy, Germany, and France.
